This is an elegant restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking Tower Bridge....They usually have two,and three course set menus with a glass of wine at a reasonable price. They have an extensive wine list, yet they have an excellent house wine, not on the list that is reasonably priced. I had to visit the same dinner as peter h that they canceled in the last minute. I am so stunned and horrified by the explanation from the restaurant that I simply have to comment. In summary, the restaurant seems to think well, take our booking then let us up and dry in the last minute if a lucrative "private dinner" wants to make a booking. if the restaurant has a booking and our booking is not sure that any decent restaurant that would care for an iota about its customers would tell the customer that the booking was provisional, so they could decide whether they would want to take the risk. it may not be fair or correct to just give us if it is too late to book another restaurant so that...
CONS: They charge for sparkling water TIP: I didn’t know who to tip,there were 4 different ppl who helped us. After I paid my bill which included a £25 fee, I left £20 and a man who only bagged my food pocketed it. I didn’t...like that but that’s also not a customer issue. Terrible service from start to finish,. Staff unfriendly and lacked atmosphere.Originally booked main restaurant but changed when I discovered only 1 veg option (2 of our party were vegetarians) I was advised to swap to the Bistro as there were more options !! not sure...why we could not simply stayed in the restaurant and ordered the vegetarian options from the Bistro menu ??? Waited for ages for service, bread butter etc ordered but never arrived, I ordered Steak and Frites and whilst I Know Bavette Steak is cheaper cut it can be cooked to be edible !! this was like eating shoe leather !! They mixed the drinks up ! and generally we felt the service was poor. Wouldn't go there again. Worst...

do not rely on le pont de la tour, who appreciates his bookings. before some weeks I have booked le pont de la tour for a special meal to celebrate several family events. today, only 5 days before booking, they called me to cancel the reservation. because the restaurant is closed. a restaurant lock can be planned further. this has distorted me in the last minute and, inconspicuously, fighting to find an alternative. le pont de la tour is a restaurant for special occasions that most people plan well and wish for sure the winning booking. it is unacceptable to leave customers high and dry in the last minute. I will never book there again and warn others who want to do this.
A large terrace and restaurant under Butler’s Wharf with great views of the Thames. Other bars and restaurants around were very busy, there were only 3 people outside Le Pont De La Tour so we decided to take our chance. It didn’t particularly start well...with us asking if we could have a drink and the young lady disappearing to ask if that was ok, even another colleague came out to ask if we were ok. When we got the ‘ok’ to sit down things did improve. Our drinks were good, extortionate prices but thats London. Wouldn’t rush back, I guess there is always a reason places are quiet……
We had a wonderful evening with an amazing view on the Tower Bridge. The food was delicious, especially the duck. We were 1 hour late for the menu, but Khalid still offered us the menu (good price voor students). Khalid was very helpful and kind....We had an amazing last evening in London and will definitely recommend le Pont de la Tour.
I regularly visit customer dinner and was in many restaurants in london. a very important customer visited this week from Canada, and I wanted somewhere relaxed, but with great food and pont de la tour not disappointed. we had a wonderful meal, one of the best I had this year! I will be sure to visit again in the near future.

a very pleasant lunch. my man had the cattle cheeks and one of them was a bit over, but the other was excellent and so was the lobster. crepes suzette and tarte tartin were great. there were no hand towels in the gents. service was excellent.
Khalid was so attentive and gave the best customer service. He knew the menu inside out and gave great recommendations. Also, the wine was great. I will definitely be back again.
