The service was lovely and the staff are so friendly. We got to eat outside with our dog and they provided water for him. They also willingly provided takeaway containers for us to bring the meals home to our hotel room when we couldn’t finish. The meals are also quite generous which is nice. That’s about where the good news stops unfortunately. The pasta dishes we had were bland and mediocre. I hate to think that the pasta is 65 cent Coles homebrand, because that’s what it tasted like. Nothing against homebrand, but not when I’m paying $25+ for pasta. Wherever it’s from, it’s very low quality pasta that has not been salted during cooking. Not enjoyable. Good place to visit, we enjoyed it, but there needs to be a little something else in the food. Nice range of different meal types. Large inside space that is family friendly, chairs are a little uncomfortable though. Baked feta was delicious and the spinach and feta ravioli (which is made up of huge pieces) was fantastic. Arancini was lacking in a bit of flavour and the gnocchi with pumpkin needed some extra flavour as well.
Ate here two nights in a row. First night the overcooked penne pasta would not even stay on my fork and the ragout sauce was a mess. Figured I'd try again and order pizza...because...how can you stuff up pizza right. Tandoori pizza was awful and could not eat it...cold base and was absolutely drowned in toppings. Meals are very expensive to boot so all up very disappointing.
I’m from Melbourne and this place blew my socks off. Great coffee, and the food was supreme. Loved the nourish bowl, and the creamy mushroom is a total must try if you like umami. Thanks to the friendly staff for the best meal I’ve had in QLD so far. Reserva una mesa ahora
