This is my local, we go to the pub at least once a month. The food selection is limited but excellent quality, the best Rumsteak in the area. Portions are huge (although you can opt for children's portions) and the prices very affordable. This is one -if not the only one- of the few restaurants in Argenton Sur Creuse offering free entertainment during the weekends. Our favourite night is the Indian night, the best Indian I have had in France. The Spanish nights and the Soireé medieval are also a big hit. This is a friendly pub tucked away in Argenton with good value for money meals. We've been several times this year with different friends of all ages and everyone has enjoyed it and wanted to go back. be warned though that the portions are big and even the children's portions would challenge some adults. The fish and chips served with mushy peas are good but if there are a lot of people sometimes the batter can be a bit greasy however the fish itself is excellent. Otherwise the steak is very good, the salads and spare ribs tasty and the chips as chips should be. There are often themed evenings and on Sunday there is a roast with dessert.

The fish and chips here are good and reasonably priced.We've had good and bad meals here though - one visit was great with really nice food but on the second visit 2 meals out of the 4 had poor quality (fatty, gristly) meat.The service was good - really friendly.

This was a bad experience, the food was poor and the service time was slow. It could be a great place but off the beaten track it needs to be more than good. An English restaurant in a French village needs to produce excellent english food
