Staying at the Hotel An San Suci nearby, we wanted a decent meal without driving, so thought we would give this place a try. From the moment we walked through the door we could not have been made more welcome! We had our little dog with us, and the owner ? made an enormous fuss over her, and showed us to our table. Really basic- no table cloths here- but immaculately clean! Bottle of house wine un-labeled and water already on table. Help yourself entres to start with. More than acceptable quality. Then basic home cooking- choice if chicken or pork!! We went for the pork- fabulous. Next the cheeseboard. Or rather plate . Basically a plate and a knife and a choice of four fabulous local? chees...
We were in a hurry, not decided to enter the city for lunch, this road restaurant was in front of us at the time we started thinking about restoring. We stopped knowing that the room would be occupied by truck drivers and local workers. A panel indicated that for 12.70 euros there would be various entries, a main dish, cheese, dessert, a bottle of gamay and a coffee. You had to try! the room was very colorful (yellow murs, green radiators, green tables, orange pendulum, multicolored tables;) a surprising but gay set. reception and service for this road relay. excellent value for money for a complete menu at 13 €, cheese, red wine and coffee included ... some thirty entries to choose from. we then chose the veal roast / green beans. very hearty and very tender meat. Cheese tray. wide choice of desserts. For this price, we can hardly find better! We really enjoyed each other. to advise strongly, you will not be disappointed. frankly, I have experienced roads at the same price where the quality is superior. the reception is good, no worries however regarding the quality of the kitchen, it is necessary to review its classics. a little more "homemade" and less chemical cooking would be more appreciable. purée in a bag or the vanilla flan made of powder, it is done at home.I advise now because before, it was better!

Would come here again in a heartbeat. Warm welcome, followed by a lovely well cooked meal, and half decent wine. 13€ for a four course meal. Can’t go wrong.
