We recently stayed in the area of Neuvy -Bouin and visited Le Relais des Saveurs for Sunday Lunch. The restaurant is nothing to look at from the outside and seems more like a Bar but looks are deceiving. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and screens are used to separate large parties. The menu was 26.50 euros for a Starter Main and Dessert with 5 or 6 choices on each. The food was excellent , well cooked and presented and the service impeccable. We then decided to visit on 2 further occasions for midweek lunch. We had the menu jour at 12 Euro and it was excellent value. There was a salad starter, a choice between veal or merlu (each in a beautiful sauce) for main and a choice of two good desserts. a bottle of rosé additionally cost 2 euros! the service was super friendly and efficient and the restaurant is bright and airy. Our waitress spoke pretty good English and was happy to explain dishes. We'll definitely go back when we're close.
Went for lunch here whilst house hunting in the area with our estate agent who knows the owners - very glad to have had the introduction! The food was excellent and amazing value, coupled with fast and professional service. A real bonus for us is that we are now buying a house only about a mile from this restaurant, so we are sure to become regulars. Can't wait to try the evening A La Carte!
Without a doubt some of the best food we have ever had. Consistently delicious, beautifully presented with excellent service. Always the first stop on our holidays in France and can't rate it highly enough! Only ever disappointed when we cannot get a reservation, but we have now taken to booking months in advance. This restaurant has a fine chef and their à la carte evening and weekend meals are priced accordingly. However if you go for lunch during the week their set menu is reasonable and although the choice is missing the quality is still high. Have never had a bad meal there, and some have been really scrummy.
