Le Campanile Montlucon Saint-Victor

We booked this 3* campanile hotel from home, we were welcomed by a pleasant young man who gave us a couple of alternatives to our choice of accommodation, -half board, meals included etc. Chalet 12 looked clean, but no soap in the shower and the sink is best described as driving through a muddy road as there were at least 6 brown cracks in it and the mixer tap badly needed fixing back to the wall! We'd pre booked a table for dinner but still had to wait several minutes for a table to be dragged from a side room with chairs. A sour faced young lady took our order -two plats du jour. We were travelling from Calais after going through the Channel Tunnel and we wanted to get half way down France before stopping for the night. We often stay at Campaniles as they are terrific value. This one at Montlucon was extra good. The walk in 5 ft shower was a dream. No plastic curtain dripping water all over the floor, just a floor to ceiling glass shower screen about half the length. The room also had electrically operated blinds on the outside of the window, no more winding up and down by long handle. The staff, as always, were very cheerful and friendly. Beef tartare (demoulage of charal plastic!) in the plate with fries overg, no egg yolk sauce with frog you with empty bottle. For the wine map ( 5 choices) but when you ask for a waitress there is only one (and not good at 20€ here is the choice)Buffet déssert surg. total 61,80€???????????????????????????????

personalized menu because addition of homemade dishes we also visited the hotel because we were sleeping next to the kyrias and were very disappointed, so enjoyed the cleanliness and modernity of this hotel less expensive and so much better, it is one of the best campaniles we attended Reserva una mesa ahora

for a second test this was the good = quality of the homemade kitchen, well served in quantity and very reasonable price. the entrance buffet is the same in all campaniles = the variety comes from the home verrines: the same for the dessert buffet that also lacks a little originality

customers put waiting lounge before placement .buffet admissions that degarni, boiled chicken and uncooked vegetables without any flavor (green beans and ratatouille)Does the cook taste his dishes?We nevertheless have dinner in other campaniles and it was great. Better reception.

Nice waiter, but it's not enough.Many mastery in the preparation of dishes: pork meat too cooked (dry and hard), á contrario fries are not cooked. I do not advise you to leave the highway for this address, you will also find mediocre in the highway restoration.

I thought we needed training or a degree to hold a restaurant to serve such bad plans.
