Le Rivage - Reservar una mesa

We had dinner at this restaurant, located in a very nice spot on the border of Loiret river near Orleans. The staff is generally friendly and seats/tables are nice. The restaurant suffers a bit on customer experience. The menu card contained about 6 items that have been corrected/deleted with a pen as these are not available/ replaced by other dishes. why not just print a new menu? . The wine list on the wall same thing: a wine we ordered was not there, why not just wipe the line and add a new one? No soap at the dispenser in the mens toilet. Food was ok-ish, although there were no side dishes like vegetables/salad. We had the lamb which definitely needed more spices. Same for the desserts,...

The restaurant Le Rivage recently changed ownership, and all previous testimonials are now obsolete. The interior is still the same, but the famous terrace alongside the Loiret is now dirty and unkept, with cheap plastic chairs, a cheap plastic menu card, gone are the famous lobster and seafood dishes, now replaced with a limited choice, offered at extremely high prices! I have been a loyal customer for 30 years, have beautiful souvenirs of meals with family and friends, and entertained many customers. Last weekend I returned for a birthday lunch, saw the disaster, paid €170 for two, and left extremely disappointed. My advice: go to Eugène at Orléans, where the restaurant, the chef, and the...

This is the very first time I have felt it necessary to write a review. The main course was rib of beef the special of the evening at €70 for two there were 4 of us and all ordered the same. BOTH ribs were extremely tough and inedible we complained. The staff were entirely unhelpful and dismissive. We had to have a long discussion which only resulted in one refund even though we all left our meal. At the time we were not offered a different main course. . I will never return and hope others will be spared disappointment with both the restaurant and the hotel.

What a terrible disappointment for such a location. The rooms are very noisy late at night and the bathrooms very poor. The hotel appeared scruffy and uncared for. The food was sent back which was served at dinner as it was inedible. An unsatisfactory partial discount on the bill was eventually offered very reluctantly. We will not be gong back. This hotel being in this location could be so lovely sadly it is not.

Ignore latest negative review. Always visit here on way down/up France. Great food and it was again tonight. Nearly didn’t go due to negative review just ignore it! Fantastic meal.
