the pizzas ordered were fine, though one of us ordered a chicken alfredo pasta which we all expected to be some sort of creamy/cheesy sauce. the pasta came with literally nothing but herbs and meat. when my friend brought this to the attention of the waitress she was VERY passive aggressive about it and took away the plate in a huff saying she would make a sauce for him if he really wanted. later on in the meal she came back to explain that usually when people order that dish she would have mentioned it didn't come with any sauce and people are always fine about it as it is usually 'athletic' people who want it. utterly bizarre apology/explanation. someone also asked for mayonnaise and was l...
We were walking past San Lorenzo at lunchtime and noticed a few locals tucking into some tasty-looking haunches of meat so decided that was good enough reason for a dinner visit. We were well looked after by the charming waitress who spoke perfect English (very helpful!). To start with we shared a lovely thin crust pizza with eggplant and olives. The house red wine was excellent. The hunk of meat turned out to be a pork shank roasted in the wood oven and was a generous serve and really delicious (very Henry VIII). We went the first evening to have a pizza. It was very good. The place is well located, close to the Place Stanislas but not over crowded, the staff was very nice and helpful and the price was reasonable.Like we liked this restaurant the first time we decided to go again the second evening to taste the other food from their menu.This time we ordered pasta and beef meat. It was delicious. I really recommend this restaurant if you are alone, in couple, in family or with friends.
We had a stopover in Nancy and arrived late so didn't have chance to look round for a place to eat. This restaurant was round the corner from our hotel so we just plumped for it.It was busy, plenty of locals eating here, friendly staff. We just had pizza and salad but it was all good, nice food and wine. Cheap and no problems at all.
