Le Schlossberg - Reservar una mesa

This restaurant has a very good reputation however it has been twice we've been there and the second time was even more disappointing that the first time.The location of the restaurant is very good location, near a park, splendid restaurant inside, white tablecloth, nice decoration, good menus. Staff (not all of them) friendly.However, the dishes are overpriced for what it is. Some dishes have only few vegetables boiled and some mashed potatoes, nothing special like a fine restaurant.But beside the price and expectation of the dishes, we were more disappointed by the service. Our friends that are coming regularly felt the same way.The vocabulary used by the owner was quite vulgar and casual, and the attitude was not friendly. Not expected from a fine restaurant.Our kids were not welcome: There were no menus or clear explanation of what they could eat. We had to ask for what they could offer and asked for details of the dish. We finally ordered veggies and potatoes with the meat and they had only few veggies on the plate. Kids didn't finish their starters and the owners was making comments on it and questioned the quantity of the next dish in a way that was not welcome at all. The attitude and comments were quite negative, we wouldn't expect it from a restaurant like this.I have to mention that one staff member that served us was very nice and friendly.I rated it average as food was good. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as it's overpriced with potentially a negative attitude. Even if the owner had a bad day, it shouldn't never be reflected on the customers.

We had made a reservation thinking that this was "the place to go" near Saarbrücken.When we finally found the entrance of the restaurant we were not greeted very friendly.We ordered le menu "découvert" for 32 Euros. Wine very expensive.The first course "pressée de légumes" was good quality. Only vegetables but prepared by somebody who knows how to cook.The main course for my husband was chicken! Nothing special.For me fish, deep frozen filet de daurade covered with a sauce! We both had mashed potatoes from a package.The "clafoutis de Mirabelles" served with melted ice cream. It looked great but not very good when it is undercooked.Service was better for bigger tables!

I visited with 5 colleagues as part of a business meeting and we ordered the set 5 course menu. Every course was very good from the fois grais to the fish course, steak with pepper sauce and the beautiful puddings.The only issue was actually eating it all because by the puddings we were all full.Lovely food in great surroundings and we will definitely return.

very tasty food in forbachce restaurant is located near the top of the hill of the schlossberg which is the point of forbach.

Seating at lunch without reservation. We had a light meal, all of which was very French and very good.
