"We had dinner here in the summer and the food was excellent - French but with an oriental twist. The service was discreet and efficient and the outdoor dining area was lovely. If I had to quibble I would say that there are restaurants that are slightly less pretentious and slightly better value but this is still great place to go if you want to treet yourself."

We went here with our little daughter, and it was a mixed experience. Overall good, but not great, and taking into account the price level, it was closer to average.First of all: The food was really very good. We had egg with truffles, meat tartare, thai curry, and chicken in "vin jaune". The eggs were great, and the chicken was amazing; the tartare was good, but not super different from a good brasserie. The thai curry was a deception - it wasn't really thai, and lacked both spice and textureOverall, the service was good, however, the restaurant really is not very child-friendly: Despite having a toddler, another table that arrived after us was served first... Further, there is no location to change a baby... The waiter was very nice, but even reheating our daughter's food took ages. Lastly, the meal with starter, main and coffee took >2 hrs...The atmosphere is nice - probably very nice for a romantic lunch/dinner. Quite modernLastly: Everything felt a bit overpriced - not very expensive, but expensive for what it was.Would we come back? Maybe... but not with children

This is a really lovely restaurant with a limited but excellent menu. The service is outstanding. The ambiance very chic and tasteful without being pretentious or uncomfortable. They have a lovely outside terrace if the weather is nice. We've worked out that this is a fairly new restaurant and maybe used to be on the site of a tired Asian restaurant - what a transformation! The food is really outstanding - The Tiger who Cried is a signature dish - possibly the best beef I have ever tasted. The fish is wonderful and beautifully cooked. The only plea I would make is please to have just one really good vegetarian option. No problems with a limited menu - much better to be limited and outstanding but do try to cover vegetarians too. Some people have remarked that it's a bit expensive - you are looking at 50 euros a head but really worth every cent in my view. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We spent three weeks in Mieussy and were desperate for some high quality food (being fed up of Haute Savoire food). We drove past this place and were not disappointed. Designer interior and excellent quality food. This chef clearly has his sights set on achieving a Michelin Star and is well on his way. Fantastic find in such a remote location. Not cheap, but highly recommended if you appreciate beautifully presented food, superb cooked and stylishly plated.

I stopped here with my partner for lunch. The food is of the highest standard with subtle, delicate, aromatic flavours which only a top chef can master. It's not the prettiest building on the outside but don't judge a book by its cover. This place is simply a league above anything else in the area. The head waiter is full of charm and character and makes the whole experience absolutely incredible. We will be back very soon.
