"We arrived to a relatively empty restaurant, which I was worried about. We ordered from the set menu, I had the sausage, steak and mousse. The food was creatively played and delicious. Our waiter was great- very patient and gave us great suggestions. This place is a must if you are in the area!"

We were looking for something to eat while out bicycling and we were hot/sweaty and definitely not dressed for dining. In spite of our less than desirable clothing, we were graciously shown to a table set for fine dining, even though it was nearly 2pm and the restaurant closed at 2pm. Pré salé lamb was on the menu and we decided to try this local specialty. I asked the waiter/owner to recommend a glass of wine to accompany the meal. So why did we love this restaurant? 1. We received welcoming service and treatment even though we looked pretty shabby. 2. The lamb was amazing (cut and served tableside) and the accompaniments were perfect. 3. The wine choice (Marcillac 2015) was also perfect. 4...

In France we always try to dine in the restaurants marked in Gault & Millau guide, and this was one of them near Mont Saint-Michel.We did not need to book for the Friday night, and the place was empty when we came, but this was not something to discourage us (and some local people came in some time later).Although they do not have vegetarian option in tasting menu, the waiter (and I believe the owner) proposed to cook a VEGETARIAN dish for me. In an area full of family owned and terrific restaurants (as well as touristy places) this stands out. A husband and wife outfit with attentive service and top notch food. The wine menu is varied and features local ciders. I had the menu which began with a house made four gras and appropriate accoutrements. It was perfectly prepared: rich, with a bit of nuttiness and the hint of cognac. This was followed by grilled strip steak cooked as ordered and a tomato bordelaise sauce that showed inventiveness without straying far from classic tastes. The sides of simple poached potato and a soufflé-like egg and zucchini "cup" displayed their flavors prominently and supported the steak. I finished with...

Truly exceptional on every level! This is the second time we have come here on our way to St-Malo. The chef (the wife) is amazing, both creative and inspired. The service (the husband) has a great attention to detail, knows how to handle family situations, and a cross-cultural understanding beyond most. The decor is both modern and traditional. On the outside, it is easy to pass by: don't miss it. Worth every moment.
