Went here for a meal last week. The food was OK we ordered the tomato bread and chicken croquettes basically as sides and I ordered the chicken curry, my sister ordered the fish and chips, they brought out my chicken curry more or less at the same time as they brought the tomato bread and croquettes and my sister ended up waiting a while for her fish and chips! The portions certainly weren't small and the food was good enough, though my chicken curry was the strangest one I had seen there wasn't much sauce, plenty of chicken, tiny bit of rice, lots of chips and a tomato!!! Very odd!! Would have been much better with just the rice and more sauce it tasted OK though. The service was very nice...
This is a good option for a 'Menu del Dia ', which is available all week, as well as an excellent choice of meat and fish dishes from the carta menu. Father and son run the kitchen while the mother looks after the excellent staff serving the food. Very popular with the visitors to the camping site across the road and also with locals who frequent the restaurant throughout the year. Always a friendly welcome and good food at moderate prices. My wife particularly likes the way they cook fish which is caught locally every day. The house wine is very cheap but still very tasty.
Comiste aquí en un par de ocasiones con mi esposa. Situado cerca de la playa probamos el menú del dia por primera vez. Para menos de diez euros tuvimos tres cursos de una selección de cinco artículos. La comida era sabrosa y llenada y excelente valor para el dinero. La rosa de la casa no era la mejor pero para menos de seis euros que se preocupa. Total con cafés un mero 29 euros. La segunda visita que ordenamos fuera del menú y tuvimos martillo de hake y ambos fueron muy agradables. Este es un restaurante familiar donde el servicio viene con una sonrisa. Recomendado.

Justo al cruzar la calle desde nuestro apartamento, las primeras veces solo paramos para tomar una copa antes de la cena. Un ambiente español encantador siempre parecía estar ocupado, lleno de lugareños, un personal agradable siempre nos traía un platito de algo para acompañar nuestras bebidas. Luego, la tercera noche decidimos probar la comida y realmente fue encantadora, ¡aquí no hay tapas congeladas, todo el servicio con una sonrisa! Recomendaría totalmente.
Eat here the other night. Busy but the waitress serving us obviously didn't care about tips as she plonked everything including drinks on the corner of the table. Maybe she was having an off day but that's not our problem. Anyway calamari was good but the mains were very bad especially the paella my wife and I had. Reviews said they're a family resturant and some of the staff were really nice except for our waitress. Anyway there you go.
Fabulous food, friendly family run restaurant. Service was good and the smell from the cooking....mmmm! Prices were so reasonable. The house white wine (Vina Oria) was less than 5 euros and very nice. Tried all sorts on the menu and we were never disappointed. Thoroughly recommend the Tucan.
Inicialmente un poco desprevenido pero la terraza trasera es tranquila y adyacente a la playa con una agradable perspectiva. La comida (teníamos omlettes) era simple pero buena y mientras poco inglés se hablaba el servicio era eficiente.

This place is amazing gutted we tried it on the second last night as the food is definitely worth going back for. The staff are lovely as well.
