Why only one star? Because there is no way to give it a negative star. A trip here in Feb 2016 with two adults and two children (3 and 6) was the worst dining experience I've had.There are maybe 15-20 tables at this resto and only 5 were occupied when we got there. The nice waiter (high/secondary school, perhaps) kindly invited us to sit anywhere, then promptly forgot about us. I tried to wave him down a few times but he was too busy messing up orders for other customers. A couple of women came in about 5 minutes after us and they were tended to much earlier.Eventually we got his attention and got some menus. No less than 20 minutes later he came by to take our order. By this time our kids were getting a bit noisy, but thankfully the other customers, who were also very slowly getting their food, bore us no ill will. Finally he took our order (one salad, one pizza, two kids' meals). After sitting for over an hour (really) I finally walked back to the kitchen and asked for at least some bread to help with the kids' appetite. he brought some out a couple minutes later.In the kitchen was a woman who I think is the waiter's mother. They seemed to be struggling with ever meal. Food came out sporadically, couples did not receive their food at the same time or even close. The table next to us were clearly not happy with something they ordered that came wrong. But the two people working there were not at all apologetic to anyone. They argued (sort of) with the customers and claimed the problem was that it was early in the season and they were quite busy. Except there were only 7 tables with people and two were at the post-meal coffee stage when we arrived.After 1 hour 15, the woman came out and told us they had no saucisse for one kids' meal and would we order something else instead? We did.Finally (after 1 hour 45 minutes) the woman brought out two kids' meals which were ok, but not great. While delivering those meals, she noticed that my wife and I had no meals yet and she asked if we'd ordered anything. We said we were waiting on a pizza and a salad. So she went back, perhaps to get those started. After a minute we decided to cancel the salad and pizza as we wanted to get to the museum nearby. They offered no apologies, but gave us our bill for the kids meals. I half-expected an added line item for the one basket of bread.Don't eat there! No one who was there at the same time as our lunch left with a smile. Everyone was grumpy. My wife and I were hungry and grumpy.

A comfortable stand-by for years, the Ty Rex has undergone several changes in management. The latest incarnation seems tired already, and my first visit rather mundane.i have no idea why restauranteurs do not make their own french fries as a matter of course, but they don't, and the frozen varieties that are so beloved of this genre of eatery are generally bad.It is no exception here, and the terrible fries take away from the other part of the meal which is usually pretty good. Oh well, it is handy and friendly, and I will be back.

We had pizza for lunch, couldn't make up our minds which to have so chose one spicy the other Nicoise and had half each. Lovely thin base. I asked for tea and in the French way they bring a pot of hot water and a teabag. Except the water was barely warm.

The waitress was really friendly and the food was okay, I had pizza, it was enjoyable but nothing special. Overall I enjoyed the evening, especially as the waitress was so nice and there are trees growing through the roof. The prices are reasonable too.

They make excellent pizza's here. All of the food is home cooked and the service very efficient. It isn't the prettiest of places, however I always use it when I am in the area and never had a bad meal.
