What’s the place to be to watch the world go by in Morzine? Try Le Tyrolia. It is a typical French small restaurant where the locals go to hang out at the bar. It sits in the sunshine on the corner where the old bridge over the river meets the tiny church, set against the mountains. The flags of Switzerland, the EU and, of course, France flutter in time with the babbling water rushing over the rocks below as you look down from your table. The town hall is nearby in the Old Town. Spring flowers are blossoming as people saunter by, looking up at the bell ringing in the church tower just before the clock strikes noon. This was the best pizza I have had for a long time. The crust was so thin and crispy it was almost transparent and the topping was generous. We also had an excellent salad. It is a busy, well-run restaurant, with very good decor. It is perhaps a little lacking in atmosphere, but the food makes up for it. Not the place for a romantic dinner for two, but a good place to go.
It was a skiing white out in the mountains so we decided to go down for lunch in the town. There weren’t many restaurants open but we had the good fortune to find Le Tyrolia and had a very tasty lunch. The servings were generous, the service and value for money were good. I also remember the toilets were roomy and sparkling clean. One to remember.
Situated at a road junction, so some bits of the terrace not great. We sat looking over the river, which was lovely. Good, basic food, salads and omelettes, which were delicious. The waiter was a bit of a misery. Moved us to a different table when we sat down and it was not service with a smile but it was quick and adequate.

This restaurant has had great reviews and we were not disappointed. They were very accommodating for our fussy children wanting to change the menu options. Plus the food and service are great. Although serving pizza, they offer great local cuisine too. Well worth a visit.

excellent brewery/bar, we went there today (30-12-2022) with 3 children including a baby, we were warmly welcomed, the meal was excellent, and slate was more than rcorrecte given the quantity and quality of our plates.
Super bonnes burger et salades Nous venons avec des amis, toujours parfait. Bien localiser et avec joie visuelle à la rivière et pude de néon.
