So, the first thing to realize is that there is not lots and lots of choice for eateries in Baie Sainte-Catherine. We were staying across the street in the Hotel Motel Ste. Catherine and realized, based on the content and service of the breakfasts there, that we probably would not want to have dinner in that restaurant. We also did not want the hassle of the crowds of tourists in nearby (by ferry) Tadoussac.We walked across the highway and were seated with a view to kill for of the bay just at sunset. Le menu semblait intéressant, mais le repas a été une catastrophe et pourtant, nous n'avions pas d'attentes élevées, nous souhaitions juste un repas décent après une journée sur la route. Mon conjoint a pris un potage qui était complètement liquide et sans goût. J'ai commandé la grillade du jour. On m'a servi de la viande avariée - à l'odeur, c'était très évident, mais on me l'a servie malgré tout. Je l'ai retournée, on m'a gentiment fait un crédit complet, mais je n'ai plus été capable de manger. Plusieurs desserts offerts sur la carte mais non disponibles. Wir hatten ein Abendessen in dem Restaurant, insgesamt vier Personen.Das Ambiente ist funktionell, der Service OK. Die Speisen werden schnell serviert. Die Qualität des Essens ist aber nicht in Ordnung. Das Dressing der Salate war eigentlich nicht existent oder im anderen Fall nur Mayonnaise. Fleisch wurde überhaupt nicht richtig angebraten, da fehlen die entsprechenden Aromen. Anstatt Parmesan wird im Cesar Salad einfacher Reibekäse verwendet, geschmacklich daher ohne Wirkung. Vier Haupt- und zwei Vorspeisen, die einstimmige Meinung war "durchgefallen".
We arrived early to avoid crowds and had our choice of seating. The waitress was attentive,helpful, and spoke both English and French with no negative attitude (not the same friendliness was encountered elsewhere in Quebec). We had the cod and it was served with a good sized amount of rice and cooked vegetables.The price was reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area and the view was quite nice as well.
Si le cadre de la terrasse la plus proche de la mer n est pas extraordinaire , nous avons préféré abandonner les nappes blanches pour profiter de la vue du lever de lune .Repas parfait avec de bons produits locaux : queues de homard parfaitement cuite et Fish and ship .Cuisine traditionnelle qui respecte bien les produits ( panure légère ).Service attentif comme partout au Québec .
Le déjeuner est très modeste. Que 2 choix au menu donc faut pas être difficile.Il faut avoir un petit appétit le matin car les portions ne sont pas grosse, mais c'est inclus avec la chambre quand vous louez a ce motel. Par contre les employés sont merveilleux. Poli, souriant, connais bien leur petit coin de pays et très sociable.
