Le Val Soleil - Reservar una mesa

In Ville the restaurants are all shut on Mondays bar the Val'Soleil, so we gave it a go. We sat outside as it was exceptionally hot (30C+). In the UK the food on offer would nowadays be considered as average (or below) pub food. Portions are enormous (be warned) especially the salads - we shared one between two. And the mains came with a huge quantity of frites and potato wedges, which madame was unable to eat. The desserts were all bought-in apart from the fresh strawberries. The local wines were good and the waitress was charming. It was OK but we expect better. Price was 75.5€, not bad with the current exchange rate

We spent one wonderful evening in this little Restaurant. The waitress was attentative and very friendly. We will definitely come again.

I had lunch here on my short trip to Strasbourg- twice! I tried: - duck confit - schpigel (special local egg pasta) with mushrooms.
