Le Verre Bouteille La Rochelle

I had dinner with my fiancée and nine month old daughter here a couple of days ago and both the food and the service was outstanding. Our waiter Gael made excellent suggestions for wine with the food and really went above and beyond in taking care of our family. We had had a formule with tartin and chèvre for starter and filet mignong for main and both were delicious. Two glasses of wine each are also included in the price calculation. This is a truly lovely restaurant in the Saint Nicolas area. Beautiful courtyard seating on a hot day. The waitress was wonderful and very helpful. When she found out it was my birthday, she sang a few lines of Joyeux Anniversarie in French. The food was delicious. We had the salade poulet and saumon paperdelle, followed by pavlova. All were excellent. And the waitress helped with picking local wine by the glass. Both delicious. Definitely recommend this for lunch or dinner.
