Le Vidocq - Reservar una mesa

Picked this restaurant from trip advisor reviews but was very disappointed. The food was ok but the staff were not friendly in fact quite the opposite. Firstly the English writing on the menu was so tiny you could hardly read it, I spent 15 mins reading it out to my parents and husband who had no chance of reading it. There was a young waitress responsible for the upstairs and she couldn't cope, she did her best but not enough staff. I asked for garlic bread as they did pizzas but they didn't do it?! I asked for a bottle of water, it arrived but no glasses so finally flagged the waitress down to ask for them and eventually got 4 glasses! We waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared and had to keep the same cutlery from our starters for the main. Gave up on a dessert as it was too slow and inefficient. Food was ok but I wouldn't go back

Located just west of the Place of Heros, we stopped in with our tour guide for lunch. I had the Reine Italienne pizza (mushroom, ham and cheese), she had Pizza of the week (peppers, mushrooms and 2-types of cheese), my wife had Penne in a mushroom cream sauce. The pizzas were ultra thin crust so although they were 14" we were able to polish them off with gusto as was done with the penne. Service was fast and friendly. Bill was €28.90. Recommended.

We went there on a sunday afternoon. They only had 2 items on menu that day so did not get Pizza as we were hoping for. Food served was good. Beers/wines were good too. Desert was also good.Close to city center, nice outdoor sitting. Service was friendly.

So good we came back! Ate here on both evenings with our elderly relatives with restricted mobility; a very welcome greeting, lovely food served in a friendly attentive manner and our poorly spoken few words of French were appreciated. Thank you!!

We booked from recommendations made on trip adviser and we're not disappointed. A busy restaurant serving good simple food at easonable prices. Not fine dining but would return.
