Unknown to the owners the four of us went to celebrate a special birthday. We orderered aperitifs. They came with slices of meat pie and vol au vents (free). For mains we had 2 steaks and 2 duck breasts...perfectly cooked. The wine too was an excellent accompaniment...deserts superb. Then light almond slices came free with the coffee. The service was professional yet at the same time homely. The price was right also. The evening was far better than anywhere similar we'd been or are likely to be at.

I pass here going to & from work. It is only open at certain hours & when it is the car park is mobbed including articulated trucks, now I know why real good wholesome Burgundy food unpretentious, wholesome delicious & not badly priced. Well worth stopping to see what it was all about, very traditional & very French.
