As our order was taken I guessed that it wasn't going to come out from the kitchen correctly - I wasn't wrong. The waiter didn't write it down and seemed confused, repeating it 3 times in different ways each time. We speak French, so this was not an issue with translation at all. The children's meals came alongside our starters as planned, but then our starter plates were cleared, leaving the children's meals as they had not yet finished. 10 mins later, a waitress came to clear the children's plates and offer us dessert menus - we said that we were still awaiting our main courses. She apologised and went away, leaving the children's plates behind. 5 minutes later we managed to get someone's attention to ask for our main meals, as well as the carafe of water we requested when originally ordering. 10 minutes later we received our mains. We chose the fixed price menu of three courses for 29.90 which seemed good value - the starters were generously sized and enjoyable, but the smoked salmon tasted harshly smoked and was quite greasy. The main courses were fine, but my wife's baked potato had obviously never seen the inside of an oven other than a microwave. I asked for Bernaise sauce to replace the gorgonzola sauce with my veal, but this request seemingly escaped the notice of someone as I was served some pale insipid gunk on my plate - I tasted it whilst attempting to attract the attention of a waiter to get it changed and I very much doubt that there was any gorgonzola in it. The Bernaise sauce, when it did arrive, was clearly from a packet of some kind. The desserts were of a similar quality - enjoyable enough, but nothing worth remembering much.

Staying in St Quentin, as a group, we ventured into L'Edito. The staff rushed to offer us excellent service. The waitress Cindy was amazing. She took our order verbally, presented the food to each person without question and had such a fantastic memory. Her quality of service was fantastic and her humour helped to enhance the evening. The food was served quickly, and was hot on arrival. Highly recommended the efforts by the team.Well done, one and all.

I stoped in St. Quentin for 3 hours waiting a train connection. Went up to the city center and choosed this place for a salad, a beer and some time killing. Staff was friendly, I had a Caesar salad which was standard, and the price was also standard for France. There are not many option to choose from in this small city, so I think the choice I made was good. I felt OK and welcomed here.

Stop over on way to Alps. Service was ok and quite friendly, although they got my sons order wrong. However, the food was poor. I had moules, in what tasted like dishwater. My wife had a chicken dish in some obscure sour sauce, and my sons burger was bland (and expensive)!. Won't be going back!
