We always support our local restaurants so thought that we would give Lee Palace a try. When we arrived the place was empty all but a group of three other people. We were placed at a table right down the back next to the air conditioner that was emitting a noise that was piercing to the ear and we could not hear each other talk. We asked if we could be moved away from the noise and were accommodated reluctantly. We placed our order and asked for tap water as well as the other drink we had ordered only to be told that we could not have it and it was "too hard to explain why". I have been to this restaurant in the past and enjoyed my meal while eating in the restaurant. However last week we decided to have takeaway for lunch so that we could watch the football. At 11.55am I rang through and ordered four dishes and was told that it would be 25 minutes.At 12.15 I arrived five minutes early to collect my order and was told that they were just preparing it. There was only three tables occupied and three others waiting for take away. Time passed and orders came out from the kitchen very slowly. My family have been regulars at Lee Palace for the past 25 years. During that time it has changed hands a number of times but it has always provided a high standard of authentic Chinese cuisine, and this is especially true of the current management. Those who complain about the standard of service need to realise that the waitstaff are often overseas students and not always as experienced and sophisticated as one might expect in a high class restaurant. Frankly, I have little sympathy for those who complain about shortcomings in the standard of service, as from my experience the quality of the food more than compensates for any minor annoyances.

My wife and I went to the Lee Palace for lunch today for a quick meal.On arrival the young lady showed us to an table and gave us the menus. As my wife had been there before and had bought take away home to me we knew what we wanted and told the waitress this. She returned a short time later and took our order.I had satay beef and my wife had lemon chicken and she ordered tea for herself and coffee for me. We were give several options for serving of the drinks and we decided on before the meal. the drinks were hot and as we ordered them.the meals then arrived hot and well presented.the food was very good and great value.highly recommended Reserva una mesa ahora

I am not a huge fan of Chinese food, but the Lee Palace is changing my mind. We go there reasonably regularly now, because the food is always excellent, the prices are good, and the people are friendly.The service isn't super sharp, but the place has a casual atmosphere, and the owners are obviously family, so we are always happy to cut them a little slack. If ypou're looking for good food in Palmyra/Bicton, this is it.

Not a bad Resturant, a little dated but had good food. And a good cheap lunch special. Can get busy for dinner, but take away Is usually better anyway. Plenty of parking. Casual outing.

Completely understaffed. Waited over 45 minutes for an entree. They served take away orders over dine in. The staff were not helpful and the food was horrible. Reserva una mesa ahora
