I had a sudden craving for Lee’s coffee and a croissant, so I stopped by Lee’s Sandwiches in Artesia. I’d had a great experience at the Downey location, so I was hoping for the same here, but unfortunately, I ran into a few issues. The one positive was the interior—it’s beautiful, spacious, and professionally designed. They also have a nice setup where you can browse a small selection of food and drinks before ordering.

Lee's delivers great food consistently. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is the only coffee I'll drink, and I go out of my way to get it. Their baguettes are delicious but the crust on the bread is very solid and will slice your gums up. I generally prefer getting their European sandwiches on a croissant to save myself the pain and suffering, but I do enjoy their bahn mi sandwiches when I'm in the mood. The place is always clean, and I've never waited an unreasonable amount of time to get my food.

I was hunting for an authentic Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich. When I arrived, the owner said, ??Banh Mi? just means sandwich.? That should?ve been my first clue that it wouldn?t taste right. The cashier did her best to make it Vietnamese style, but the bread and veggies are too thick with no soy sauce as requested. The texture was way off, too. The sandwich, with a minute amount of avocado and tofu (no meat), was $6.79. Wow. So the hunt continues...

The shop is spacious and impeccably clean. Inside, they also offer deli, manjoo, and juice. There's ample parking available. The staff, consisting of Asian couples, provides excellent customer service. The sandwiches and pancakes are delicious. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

My hot sandwiches are hit or miss when it comes to being served hot. I've never received an iced coffee that's completely full, and when I ask for a refill, they refuse. The service is rude and disappointing. The sandwich this time looked better than usual, though.
I ordered a large ice cream with less ice, but they only gave me about a quarter of a cup. I'm not sure how that happened since I paid $5 for a large, but what I got was more like a medium.

Service was not that good. I just came for the products. Such a shame that all Lee sandwich every where else are better .
