The Legends franchise is all about the sauce! They offer a nice blend of Guyanese and Chinese flavors, but it falls short of the authentic taste found at other Guyanese restaurants. I tried the spicy lamb and jerk chicken wings with fried rice. It was good, but not outstanding. On top of that, the restaurant was empty on a Friday night, and it took an hour for our food to arrive, with the waitress also making a mistake on our order. The service was poor, and the kitchen was extremely slow. They don’t seem to have what it takes to be a successful restaurant. They could learn a lot from places like Caribbean Cabana and The Next, which offer much better food and service!
I spent $30 on a $22 meal through Uber Eats just to avoid going out. Unfortunately, Legend messed up my order and claimed it was a mistake from the kitchen, suggesting I pick up the correct order myself. So I ended up paying for delivery and still had to go get the right food. When I arrived, one of the employees rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Times are tough right now, and every dollar counts. The money and gas I used for one meal could have bought me three.
The food was absolutely delicious. I had the escovitch fish with pineapple fried rice and the pepper shrimp with the house special fried rice. The house special fried rice was outstanding—I highly recommend it. The fish was flavorful and something I would definitely order again. To top it off, the meal was perfect with a refreshing tom boy lemonade.
This place deserves less than one star. It used to be very tasty, but last night I ordered roast pork fried rice and fried chicken. The pork seemed at least a week old—extremely dry and tough, something even a stray dog would reject. The fried chicken was just as bad. On top of that, the prices were outrageously inflated. Totally not worth it!

Update: I finally had the pleasure of trying the food from this amazing restaurant. It's a bit pricey, but absolutely worth every penny! I enjoyed the Jerk Chicken and House Special Fried Rice, while my husband opted for the BBQ Chicken with Brown Rice. My daughter had her own portion of Fried Chicken along with the House Special Fried Rice!
Food was very tasty but the chicken was a bit dry shout out to the chef great job ….. fried rice taste like eating a real Guyanese fried rice from the brown bag if you know you know
I have to be honest, the food here is excellent. I live in the area, so I often order takeout, but I've found that the pricing, portion sizes, and taste can be inconsistent.
I highly advise against visiting this restaurant. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced in a West Indian establishment.

I decided to give this place another chance, and it turned out to be a big disappointment.
My go to spot for guyanese style chinese food. Tastes better than Kaieteur IMO
