Perfect spot for a weekend or longer away in northern MI. Close enough to walk into downtown to spend time in Fishtown or the shops but far enough away to be quiet and calm from any crowds. So much to do in the area and right on property. Love the new games and relaxing seating area for guests. Service is always top notch. The whole team does their best to make sure your visit is great. Nice having an excellent lunch/dinner place on site and wonderful wine bar with elevated cuisine during the summer season. We had a phenomenal dinner to close out their season. We were in a room on the second floor. It is an average size but they've utilized the space to sleep 6. One king bed, a pull out sleeper couch and two hideaway beds that fold into the wall. It was clean and the king bed was comfortable. It's an older lodge I think it said it started in 1927? The bath room is adequate, but it's small by today's standards. We didn't have a personal balcony deck but I'm pretty sure others did on the opposite side. People were quiet, nobody loud or running down the hall banging doors. There is an outside patio for morning coffee and muffins that overlooks the golf course. Bikes were available, but we had our own. Just a very short walk to town or to lake Leelana...
Hospitality at its finest. From the moment we stepped in the door, to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The lodge has many cozy areas to sit and relax, read or play a game. You’re welcomed with homemade chocolate chip cookies in your room and each morning treated to homemade blueberry muffins and coffee, along with a refrigerator stocked with free drinks and yogurt. Guests can use the bikes for free and it’s easy to bike to town or the beach. Brian communicated every step of the way from the time of booking through our stay.
