"A break from traveling on A85. Refuel for us and vehicle. The automated machine gave some really terrible soup, but the counter staff refunded our money as it was so watery. Drinks and snacks from the counter were satisfactory."

Finding a place to eat in the middle of the afternoon is not easy in France. In the big cities, you have Brasseries and Bistrots that do not close, but in small towns and villages, it's all dead between 2PM and 6-7-8PM. So, it's a good idea to keep in mind that if you get on the highway (blue marked roads) you will find Rest Areas (they are called Aire, followed by a name, in this case it was Aire du Val de Cher). We stopped for lunch at 3pm, had salads and good coffee. It's like 7-11 etc, but sells wine and has clean restrooms. Very useful.
