We chose Leon 's in Lens Noyelles expecting a franchise experience, which is what we got but towards the high end of that spectrum. It 's speciality is mussels and one can have a large variety of variations on that theme. The ambience is bright and cheerful but a bit mass produced . We chose otherwise than mussels from what is otherwise a fairly limited menu. Our choices, poulet and beef carbonnade were good and we both enjoyed them. The beef carbonnade was tender and the sauce was aromatic and interesting. The choice of beverages was limited but pleasant enough. The choice for dessert was long and good. There is not an abundance of dining choice in Lens Noyelles that we could find but if one is looking for something quick and cheerful and not too expensive or for somewhere to take children (or both), then Leon 's fills the bill.
I found this wonderful friendly restaurant whilst walking back to my hotel the nearby Cerise, it was early evening and the restaurant had couples, families, and singles all enjoying their meals in a happy atmosphere, on leaving i asked if they could telephone a taxi for me to take me back to the hotel Cerise because my foot was sore and the battery on my mobile was flat, i had been visiting the WW1 battle sites and cemetery's with my regimental association, the Directrice Madame Virginie Lesch would not hear of this and she returned me back to my hotel in her car. That was well beyond the call of duty and i will never forget that act of kindness. Bill Page.
Even though it 's a chain restaurant and I usually avoid them I really have a thing for Leon. They serve simple mussels dishes, not only but that 's the speciality. If you 'd like my personal recommendation try Cocotte de moules a la Roquefort ; In each of the Leon restaurants the menu is the same so hard to talk just about this one. The service here was very good and friendly. They have good choice of beers and wine. The general atmosphere was great. On Sundays there is as much as you can evening.
fish and mussels always of quality. any fries in relation to the claimed quality. Excessive beverage prices and very limited quantity for some aperitives. With the increase in the price of many dishes, the ratio of quality price becomes less attractive than given bread or proposedgood health protection measures
