We chose Leon 's in Lens Noyelles expecting a franchise experience, which is what we got but towards the high end of that spectrum. It 's speciality is mussels and one can have a large variety of variations on that theme. The ambience is bright and cheerful but a bit mass produced . We chose otherwise than mussels from what is otherwise a fairly limited menu. Our choices, poulet and beef carbonnade were good and we both enjoyed them. The beef carbonnade was tender and the sauce was aromatic and interesting. The choice of beverages was limited but pleasant enough. The choice for dessert was long and good. After a long day of travel we were unsure about taking our young children out for dinner but seeing a moules frites restaurant we thought we'd give it a go. Incredibly, there was a sealed off playroom with TV, books, puzzles etc. You couldn't hear the children but you could watch them through the windows. Past the playroom, outside, was a bouncy castle, too! We all enjoyed our meals, it was plentiful and tasty. Our son's waffle dessert was gigantic! After we had all finished a waitress took the children over to a cotton candy machine and delighted them by making a second dessert. Balloons and bubbles were on hand to take home, too. A great place to eat out whether you have children or not.
I found this wonderful friendly restaurant whilst walking back to my hotel the nearby Cerise, it was early evening and the restaurant had couples, families, and singles all enjoying their meals in a happy atmosphere, on leaving i asked if they could telephone a taxi for me to take me back to the hotel Cerise because my foot was sore and the battery on my mobile was flat, i had been visiting the WW1 battle sites and cemetery's with my regimental association, the Directrice Madame Virginie Lesch would not hear of this and she returned me back to my hotel in her car. With the increase in the price of many dishes, the ratio of quality price becomes less attractive than given bread or proposedgood health protection measures

We were staying for EURO 2016 in the local area and called in for food. The prices weren't too bad and the service was good. However, our chicken was undercooked. It is mainly a fish restaurant.

Mussels were excellent! good value and the service was above average. The charcuterie is worth having to start the meal.
