Lepore's Hoboken's Famous Chocolates

I visited Lepore's Hoboken's Famous Chocolates hoping to find sponge candy, a chocolate treat I cherished growing up in Buffalo, NY. The gentleman at the counter was warm and friendly, and although sponge candy is a specialty item not usually on the menu, he kindly offered to order some. After a brief chat, he surprised me by returning with a few pieces, seemingly from a hidden stash. We each enjoyed a piece, and the candy was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back to Lepore's to explore more of their menu and revisit this sweet memory. Thank you for such a wonderful taste from the past!

Lepore's Hoboken's Famous Chocolates is the sweetest spot with incredibly friendly and generous owners. I'm so glad I visited during a day trip from Philadelphia and will definitely be returning soon! The menu offers delightful treats like the peanut butter and jelly chocolates and peanut butter hearts. Their Easter selection is also fantastic. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!
