Les Aromates - Reservar una mesa

Delicious lunch with friends. Well worth the drive. We had the menu du jour. €14.50 each for a lovely 3 course lunch. With coffee and wine it cost €18.50 each. Choice of dishes, although the lamb was sold out by the time we ordered! We had chickpea and smoked salmon and the charcuterie for starters. All lovely and beautifully presented. My main was Lieu (pollack) with a cheesy risotto with Swiss chard. Others had duck sausage and roast chicken. Dessert included a lovely Tonka bean cake with cream, strawberry and black currant coulis. Nice ambience, plenty of parking. We had a local red wine and coffee . No one pressurising us to hurry up. We will be back!

I was not as impressed as other relatively recent reviewers. The staff was pleasant, but no one spoke English (actually not a problem for me). The decor was essentially non-existant. The cuisine was more ambitious than typical bistrot/restaurants of rural France with some hits (lamb in pastry shell) and some misses (dessert of strawberries and black olives in basilic cream- OK, I didn’t actually order this). It is very popular with the locals, so I may be in the minority here.

We ate well here when Les Aromates first opened. Our return visit this week was quite a different experience. Although the service was good and the restaurant air conditioned; for which we were very grateful; we were disappointed with the menu and found the food indifferent and overpriced. It may be a ‘canicule’ but at the height of the season here we hoped for better.

very pleasant reception. The kitchen is at the top and the service too. the plates are copyy and well presented. the formula: dessert flat entry is nice.

Service outstanding, food delicious, value for money spot on, parking big car park opposite. What more could you want.
