LES CHAMPS D'AVAUX

We had taken a friend to Nantes Atlantique Airport and wanted lunch (my wife and myself). This restaurant shares a site with the Kyriad hotel but is in a quite separate building. The decor is ultra modern, clean and tidy. Service was slow and haphazard. The chicken tagine we selected from the "menu du jour" was insipid, lacking spices and any decent flavour. I paid the bill at reception and tendered my debit card without checking the written bill. It was only when I thought the total was rather steep that I examined the printed bill closely and found I had been charged € 39 for a bottle of wine which I had not ordered (and certainly had not drunk)! Inexperience of the waitress despite her kindness and goodwill. Not enough dessert for everyone.Viande Angus too cooked and 2 people had a few nerves in this dish.No presentation of the aperitif cardGrosse disappointment since our last meal 4 years ago or everything had been great. In addition to the bill we didn't offer anything.So it was the last time for us in this restaurant. You can find at the same price on Nantes better rated restaurants with more menu choices and with professional staff that will serve you in the rules.

Very disappointed to know the Champs D'Avaux having made my apprenticeship of the time of Mme Barbereau Patricia and Mr Gonord a magnificent gourmet restaurant today no more to see, I did not find the gastronomic to which I expected to sigh hot squirrels damage, tagliatelle fresh with shells a fade cin and lost cinnamon bread hard and much too cinnamon. Too bad with this beautiful frame.

You can enjoy the traditional cuisine,well presented,plentifull quantity,from entrées to deserts,wide selection of whine where even the bottom prices are quite drinkable
