I visit Benodet two or three times each year, and occasionally visit Les Embruns for a light lunch. It is run by a husband and wife team the wife is very friendly and always greets me with a handshake. She is very efficient, and takes the order promptly, and the food is generally served quickly and is of a good standard. The husband, who seems to be in charge of the bar, sometimes forgets the request for a carafe d 'eau and has to be reminded about the coffee. Overall a pleasant place which I shall continue to use when I am in Benodet.
We went here this evening and from the very start the waitress looked a bit flustered. We sat and waited and eventually the menus were bought out which to be honest weren’t too appealing but we both decided what to order. Again we waited and waited (we still hadn’t even had our drink order taken). The one waitress and one waiter seemed to walk past us but neither acknowledged us. After 15 mins we left and went next door which was lovely!!!!
To start with the food we ordered was pretty good, we had 2x kids Bolognese, a pizza and steak. The steak was pretty tough but the set price deal meant we didn 't pay over the top. The service however was awful! The kids meals came out after we 'd finished our mains because the kitchen had made a mistake . At the end I even got asked if I 'd leave a tip! Good place but they need to employ more people and not overstretch themselves.
We have been visiting this resturant at least twice a year during our holidays for the past 7 years. The staff are very attentive and are paitent when your french isn't very good, but then their english is excellent! The food is always beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Overall excellent all round service that offers very good value for money. Well done, keep up the hard work. We will be back to visit again.

unlike some other reviewers, we found the welcome and table allocation spot on. The food was good without being anything special,but the place was pretty crowded and the servers seemed under pressure. We were in no hurry and had a perfectly adequate leisurely lunch. Prices were par for a tourist spot.
very good reception with a smiling team and small care for guests on the whole meal. the dishes were copied and we were served relatively quickly despite a complete restaurant. a special mention for the playlist of the restaurant, to the pleasure of returning to this establishment!
