This may be a touristic place, but as tourists, it seemed like an Ok place to try out some local specialities. I had the Schlitteur that was recommended by the server. It 's a plate with a piece of smoked meat, sausages, some kind of shredded potatoes with aged cheese. It ' a nice simple dish with simple presentation, seems like hearty local farmers meal to me. The meat was smoky and tender, the sausages was of good quality and the potatoes with cheese had a lot of flavour. The servers were also very also very nice and patient despite the language barrier. Décor kitsch qui se veut dans un style winstub comme en Alsace mais très simpliste. Carte avec un très grand choix. Les plats que nous avons mangé étaient bons mais sans plus, mais les prix très élevés : un pied de porc désossé avec râpés de pommes de terre donc très simpliste à 27 € !!!, une souris d'agneau à 31 € !!! la bière 1664 de 25 cl à 5,90 €. Pour comparaison il y a 2 restos gastronomiques à 100 et 150m qui proposent des menus de midi (entrée plat dessert) à 28€ . Le comble un resto bistronomique à 200m affichait une souris d'agneau à 22 €. !!!
Very nice place. Unforgettable traditional Lorraine cuisine, wide choice of food and wine menu. Good value for money and friendly, available staff. Call to reserve your table because the internet says full which is not the case!.
