We ate here as part of a package so just had their set menu. It was delicious. The ambience in the dining room was relaxed, background music just loud enough to stop it being stuffy and quiet enough that it didn't interrupt conversation. The service was impeccable and friendly. As for the food? Interesting, beautifully presented. The smoked trout with spring vegetables was riot of colour in fact we couldn't find the tiny slices without really hunting for them. It didn't necessarily spoil our enjoyment but the flavours from the marinades and dressings overpowered the slivers of fish. Either be less robust with the dressings or less stingy with the trout. The cheese selection was interesting and quite broad, but I do think they could have done more to promote local cheeses out of 9 they had 2 local choices. And the bread accompaniment was really a bit dull. Having said all that, the dishes were lovely the two (yes 2) choccy puds were divine and the gewurztraminer Grains Nobles we had afterwards has to be the nectar of the gods. Yum!

For our mini honeymoon, we went for a shortski at La Bresse. Stumbled upon this restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised. A lot of french restaurants our focussed on low quality tourism snacks. This is a high end restaurant, unfortunatly with prices that are accordingly. Menu is guide Michelin star quality, serving local seison based ingredients. Two waiters attended our table. Great great wine card, with prices going upto +500€/bottle. Only minus points: no soap in the toilet. And only one toilet available for both men and woman and disabled. For a restaurant/hotel of this allure, this is not ok. As for the bill: we both had one main dish and one dessert and a small 37cl bottle of burgundy, adding up to a total of about 125€. Still in my opinion it was worth it.

It was for the b-day of my 3 years old son and at lunch time. It was not easy to reach the restaurant. Somehow the address route de valtin was confusing as there is no number and the key crossing was located in another city. The service was nice and kind although most of waiters were probably in apprenticeship. So maybe a challenge if the restaurant is operating in full capacity. Decoration was nice and cosy. Food wise, it was nice but lack of sophistication for 1 star Michelin. The smoked salmon was home made but poorly presented. The foie gras was nice as my wife left me nothing to try. The fish with the spinach was ok but nothing exciting. Kid menu was nice especially with the beef fillet. Overall nice but can be better.

Great restaurant. Very tasty, delicate and super nice service. Highly recommended. Everything has been nice from starters to main dish and deserts with local berries as well! Forgot about cheese!
