Les Mazets des Roches

After reading about this place in the Chateaux Hotels Collections, a guide that so far has never let us down, we decided to book a table at the rather lovely sounding Mazets des Roches restaurant. What a thoroughly disappointing evening this turned out to be. The service was rather bad, especially from the waiter who was unprofessional enough to whisper, in a slightly sarcastic way, in between his teeth, as my English speaking partner was pointing out that the bottle of wine he had brought us wasn 't of the year advertised on the menu, but a much younger wine of the same domaine, 'what is he saying? We enjoyed a pre dinner drink alongside the pool. Service was very good and despite it being a half board package the choices of food were good and the atmosphere very enjoyable. The restaurant was quite full with many people who were not staying at the hotel.

I had probably the most delicious carpaccio of my life at the restaurant! Fabulous local rosé to top off a wonderful lunch after an early morning flight to provence. Make sure you sit outside if possible.

In one word, outstanding! Lovely contemporary decor and the food is all so well-prepared. You can choose from several 3 course menus, mix and match, or just order an entree.

Nice restaurant, which is by the pool of the hotel. Quality food, nice environment. Service was also nice, but not exceptional.
