Part of me is reluctant to admit to the existence of this place, which I found by mistake a few years ago. Unlike all the other chic and bijoux (and over priced) eateries in this upmarket coastal town, this unassuming gem near to the market turns out a great menu of freshly cooked French food. By 12.15 most days it's jam packed with locals and nearby workers who do what the French do best, enjoy a sociable lunch over a glass or two of wine. My daughter and I now come here every year for their hideously priced E13.50 formule lunch which, on our last occasion comprised a pate and salad starter, steak and chips for main and creme brulee for dessert, along with half a carafe of red and two baske...
