We wanted to book this restaurant 2 years ago at our first visit to Aigues-Mortes, after having received a recommendation from our host owner. We did not succeed at that time, but reserved a table at our first night this time. rather surprised by the mixed reviews on this restaurant - we found it charming with a pleasant service, a perfect setting in the garden of the courtyard and a superbly produced food. We have lunch casual with artichaux and eggplants in the entrance, linen and apricot pie, with a good glass of pink wine. It was a hot day, but the shady courtyard made the lunch time very comfortable. we had lunch there on July, tasty by the menu and the pretty patio with its old stone swimming pool. the service was not welcoming, the food was good but the portions much too small, the time between the 1st dish and the main dish much too long, and the addition...aie.. 58 euros for a dozen slices of roasted hazelnut beef followed recently by 4 cannellonis. stuffed vegetables (1 mushroom, 1 tomato, 1 small eggplant) with 1 dessert: a verveine peach. we spent more than 2 hours sitting, barely had the waitress smile (or was that the owner's wife?). We had planned to go for lunch, but when we tried to enter the restaurant with our 3-year-old son in his stroller, we were arrested by the waitress who told us that they did not want pushchairs inside (the patio was more or less empty and there was plenty of space) and that anyway they would not prepare special dishes for children and that our son would have an adult dessert day When we wanted to start to argue that a 3-year-old would eat only one hand full of fries, other guests entered and immediately followed them inside, leaving us alone at the door in the middle of our sentence. after reading all these reviews, I am grateful that we did not enter....

it's traditional French and as others said it's expensive enough for what it is. However, the garden patio is airy, with beautifully arranged plants and slow turtles everywhere you can enjoy because all this adds to peace and tranquility. service is also slow, but if it is not in a hurry, what is the problem. food was very well prepared and presented, excellent wine. Overall, it is not a cheap place, but after having travelled the fantastic city of Aigues-mortes, it is a sea of tranquility to rest and enjoy the good food. It's not mcdonalds and you won't get the sterile stuff "take a good day" but just a professional service.

We are delighted to have chosen this restaurant rather than the slightly cheaper places on the main street. it was a real French cuisine reflecting the season and the region. The service was good even if large tables arrived suddenly. the setting actually makes gardens and a pool, turtles walking and a pond. also good music added to a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely go back.

We spotted this restaurant by exploring dead aigue and went to lunch. this courtyard is very pleasant and relaxing with some trees away from intense heat. service was discreet and effective.
