Les Tonnelles - Reservar una mesa

As apparently over half of the restaurants were not serving dinner on a Saturday evening in Vittell we decide to sit down at a terrace not far of the towns fountain. Nice location.All a bit outdated. But unfortunately so does a lot of Vittel which is sad to see. The staff was friendly but too much in a rush in the beginning and during our dinner it seemed almost impossible to get hold of the waiter for another round of drinks. Long story short: It's not bad but can not be compared to an Italian Pizzeria. The dishes are simple : beer was cold( very important(! and we were looking forward to our trip to Spain. Next time do my homework better to avoid this. Too pricy for what you get.

The exterior of the building does let the place down a bit. But inside it's great ! Service is cheerful and friendly. The food is reasonably priced and regional. They also do brilliant pizzas. Impressive desserts too. Can be busy during peak times as it's also popular with the locals. They have a takeaway window which seems to do a roaring trade. During the warmer months they have plenty of seating outside.

We had dinner at this restaurant twice, while staying over in Vittel. The food is very good for it's price range (menu: 16-22 euro, pasta: 10-12 euro, steak: 15-20 euro). They have great salads and main courses, with mostly fresh ingredients. Saturday night was very busy, which caused some small delays in service, but nothing unexpected or problematic.
