When you live in Brixham saying that a French restaurant serves the best turbot is taking a risk. But two visits to Le Venetes, a couple of years apart, convinces me that the turbot this chef sources and his ability to cook it to perfection justifies the claim. It’s served not as a fillet but a steak and a pretty hefty steak at that. Forget about dessert! On this occasion it came with some great, seasonal girolles.
