Called here at the start of our circular walk to Pont du Gard and was served a lovely cup of tea by the very friendly owner. On return from our walk we asked if we could have lunch but explained that we only had 45 minutes before our bus was due no problem! Before we knew it two very welcome cold beers and two plat du jours appeared. The plate contained a small tuna salad with a lovely dressing, a portion of pasta with chilli sauce and a beautiful piece of steak with a cep sauce. It was all lovely and only 9 euros each amazing value! Such great service, no wonder it was so busy despite being a bit off the beaten track. Staying nearby we walked here for a meal. The menu offers lots of tartare (raw meat) meals, pizza or a buffet where you get to grill your own meat at the table. This place is basically a marquee next to the main road, under the walls of a large farmouse where they cook and set the buffet. The road became less busy as the night wore on. We saw a talented family sing and dance here which made for a very good evening. The pizzas were good too.

Little bar in charming village square. Great for sitting having a drink under the olive tree but also serves food 3 or 4 nights a week. We went on a Friday which is bbq night. Choice of 4 meats (saucisse, merguez, lamb, pork) served with lettuce and potatoes and that's it! Homemade (and other) desserts. Wine from local vineyards. Charming service (you'll need to speak French). Difficult to spend more than 20€ per head

Staying on the area so we decided to try this place. We certainly weren't expecting much from a small village eatery but we left unimpressed. My wife had seafood linguine which was mainly just mussels and was very bland. I had the entrecote which was poor- lacked any real flavour and was chewy...at €18 this was very bad value. The service was indifferent too. Plenty of better places around for lunch than this.
