L'estaminet - Reservar una mesa

Situated in the beautiful Place des Héros this brasserie is certainly a very popular place to eat and I’m not surprised.The food is substantial, delicious and very reasonable, the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. They serve a variety of local beers and wines which go down very nicely with the local cuisine.There are a few tables inside the restaurant with the main eating area being outside in the square giving a lovely atmosphere and of course sitting in the sunshine admiring the view.

Stopped here today in the beautiful town of Arras. The Brasserie is in the beautiful square and we ate outside in glorious sunshine. Excellent plat du jour (duck in pepper sauce) and a good Croque Madame with 2 drinks was 18 Euros. Great value. Checked out inside and if you a keen wine drinker it looks as if there is lots to explore. Would definitely eat there again without hesitation

This is a narrow and busy bar/restaurant on the square serving no nonsense wholesome food. I had a very large chilli con carne which I struggled to finish. It was delicious and only cost a mere 8.90 Euro.

Croque Madame and frites was too much for me to eat at lunchtime - the frites were good but the CM was flabby and lacking in crunch. Bit slow to arrive, too.
