Situated on the historic and picturesque Rue de la Vau Saint-Jacques, and right next to to the impressive town gates, this lovely little restaurant is the perfect place to stop for lunch or a relaxing glass of rosé. Valerie, the proprietor, is extremely welcoming, and...it is the the kind of place where you find yourself easily striking up conversations with the people at the next table, locals and visitors alike. The food is made from all fresh ingredients (the dish of the day changes according to availability of local produce) and served with care and warmth at affordable prices. There is an outside patio for when the weather is good. To me, this restaurant captures the spirit of this slee...
we had the unfortunate to stop this place while we la velo francette ride to la rochelle. the woman who visited the place on the day we visited is the inappropriate person to a customer with a look at the role I have ever experienced. we sat down for... coffees that were evil and were made with UHT-melde, and when we asked if we could refill our water bottles, we had to do this long-lasting pfeife about what they despise, asking for water in their bar. they sent us to a gänsejagd in a nearby water fountain that did not work and then fills our water bottles with water and tried to point out that we should make a donation for it, although we had already paid customers who had bought the worst...
valerie served a delicious tartiflette for the plate du jour. everything is made to house daily. Too bad it was wet or we could sit in the garden. l’estaminet is small and picturesque one must visit for at least one coffee or drink while. the harbour st. jacques in parthenay
about this place on the foot of the beautiful castle of the tor house to lunch on the whistling bank holiday one of the only places open, but so a beautiful place! friendly hostess and great home made eating a solid menu but beautiful made....Atmosphere also repacked!
