It's been a few years since I've given my thoughts on L'Estaminet. Time for an update, after our lunch there today, July 15, 2017.On the management side, there have been a few changes. Cedrick is still the chef, and a presence in the dining room, but fresh faces are dealing with service. We were introduced today to Nicolas, who did a great job. What we appreciated first was the kindness of Cedrick to "fideles de la maison." We had not booked, and the main room was reserved today for a family's grande fete. I just wrote a review that I noticed now was for the hotel, but for the restaurant my apologies. we were a family group of in three generations and held this restaurant at a small hotel in the quiet village. of mazille to be a real fund. it seemed two male owners, one waiting and the other in the kitchen. the room is very tastefully decorated when traditional. it made reasonable business to a Friday midday between christmas and new year. the adult have opted for the three-lunch that was a bargain. every cure was delicious and well cooked, if not especially unforgettable. my only criticism is that our two grandchildren, aged and unlikely were not really taken care that the limited menu offere...
This hotel/restaurant is one of the bargains of the year for us. The food is beautifully prepared and presented and its reasonable price does not imply any reduction in quality.You could pay much more for inferior cuisine. It is not the easiest place to find but if you take the D17 road out to St Cecile the hotel is in the next village,Mazille.The bedroom was fine and the bed was very comfortable. Jeremie makes jam and this can be purchased in the restaurant- and very good it is. Breakfast starts with freshly squeezed orange juice.
We've been to this restaurant several times but this is my first review. It is a class act. And it's improved a lot since it opened a few years ago. Cedrik and Jérémy are a great team, the small kitchen is super-efficient, the wine cellar...must be one of the largest in southern Burgundy (there are more than different wines listed and the food and choice of food on the euro menu exquisite and always well presented. Cheerful service and top food and wine is a great combination.

Greeted courteously and efficiently. Excellent choice of pre dinner drinks.Good well chosen menu presented by hard working and diligent chef. Everyone in the party of seven enjoyed their choices and the wines chosen were modestly priced and very good value. The dining room is elegantly furnished and has a relaxed feel to it.I thoroughly recommend this restaurant, as it provides all the ingredients for a great dining experience
this traditional restaurant offers only a menu (no la carte) with a wide variety of local decisions. the chef of cuisine comes from the north france, which reflects in some directed. the wine list is impressive. it is generally fully booked for dinner, but...lunch is much more quiet. efficient service. no veggie options.

cedric and nicolas are special people who have an excellent restaurant. we ate there several times during the stay close. it was always excellent. try them if they have a chance, they will be glad that they have done it!
