L'etape Charollaise

We were driving down the back roads to Cluny hoping to find somewhere for lunch when we drove past L'Etape Charollaise in what seemed like 'the middle of nowhere' and decided to 'give it a go'. Wow, were we impressed with the experience. A pretty two room indoor dining area, excellent service, and an extensive menu impressed us from the start. We were served a delicious cold amuse bouche to start (though appetites needed no whetting) - my husband followed this with a Charolais steak dish while I had the vegetarian tart. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Sadly, we didn't have room for cheese or dessert. Prices for food of this quality are very reasonable, in fact, in some of the more popular tourist towns in the Bourgogne you'd be paying double for comparable meals. i thoroughly recommend this lovely country restaurant and the scenery around that area is stunning

Agréablement surpris par ce restaurant qui ressemble à une auberge et dans lequel nous pensions manger une cuisine familiale et traditionnelle.Nous avons eu un menu original,recherché et de qualité. Belle présentation. Restaurant à conseiller vivement.
