Lexington Style Trimmings

Awesome, hole in the wall BBQ spot! Lexington Style Trimmings is nothing special from an atmosphere standpoint. Just a small joint just off the road, with drive up ordering, counter service, and just enough tables and booths, but the important thing is what shines! The BBQ! I grabbed an open spot at the counter and was quickly waited on by a friendly waitress. I got a BBW sandwich with slaw, fries, and a tea. I think just about as quickly as I could spit that order out of my mouth I feel like my order was up and placed on the counter for me. The BBQ was great! Not fancy but excellent and friendly. Arriving when the pickup dinner orders were starting to be called in, I had a great meal this evening! I sat at the counter and that gave me interaction with all of the ladies working the drinks and register area. Fun, friendly and humorous folks who clearly enjoy their work and are happy to have customers. I chose the Friday special, which was a half barbecue chicken. Meaty, very moist, very delicious. With a creamy cole slaw and substituting sliced tomatoes instead of hush puppies. Nearly completely keto-friendly and a great meal. Only a mile or so off the highway, easy and laid back place. Slow service during the after lunch hour. Stopped in on my lunch break. BBQ is always good; fries and tea was great. Not a big fan of dining in. If you 're not a regular, then, I 'll be with you in a minute, (while I talk with the old folk for a long minute. kinda deal. Take out is the way we usually order. Easier to run in and out

Closing July 30th per Fox 8 WGHP on July 12, 2022 Really good barbeque, and it's sad to see a local restaurant closing.
