**The Good:** I've written several Yelp reviews before, and I usually approach each visit with an open mind and aim for fairness. We were searching for a bakery to make a birthday cake for a 12-year-old boy. We weren't looking for anything extravagant—just a simple 6-inch vanilla cake with chocolate frosting, featuring a design that included the number 12 and an image from a popular robot-themed game. With the birthday two weeks away, we thought there would be ample time for them to fulfill our request.

Needed a last minute cake for my husband’s birthday and came in to see Ernesto and walked out of Lido with the most gorgeous double fudge cake! We had 40 guests for dinner and everyone raves about the quality of the chocolate shavings and frosting and the rich flavor of the cake and filling! I can’t believe I almost picked up a grocery store cake so glad a co worker suggested Lido! I will be sure to order in advance in the future definitely will be back and will send all my friends!
We ordered a cake for a wedding shower, and it was absolutely stunning! The staff was incredibly kind and even created a custom box for our tiered cake. I had purchased a 9-inch fondant cake and a dozen cupcakes in Wichita for the same price as this gorgeous tiered cake, which easily served three times as many people. Just go ahead and buy their cake! You won't regret it!
I used to really enjoy their berry cake, but my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered a slice and found it to be moldy. When I took a bite, it tasted awful, so I cut into the cake to investigate further and discovered the mold. I'm really disturbed that they would sell spoiled cake like that. It made me feel quite ill.

So good! Best cakes in LA if you like traditional rich European style cakes. Single slices are generous and a whole cake in the smallest size can easily serve 12. Everything is very tasty!

The tres leches cake was quite good, and the portion size was generous. However, it is on the pricier side. It's a multi-layer cake.
The cakes are excellent. Orders are always ready when promised.
