We have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time as it had been highly recommended but couldn't get a booking so were pleased that we persevered and got a table on this occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening on a busy Saturday night. Service was friendly and efficient from start to finish. BYO drinks was a bonus. There is pub with a bottleshop right across the road so no issue to buy drinks if you forget to bring your own. Our group of 3 couples had cappesante (scallops), garlic bread, pizza bread and bruschetta for starters. All were very tasty with the only slight criticism that the bruschetta could have done with more salt or a balsamic dressing. Mains were a standout. I lov...

We hadn't been to Lido Italia for a couple of years because the last time we went, the pizzas were average. This restaurant is always packed on a Saturday night, so we decided to try again recently. We ordered two pizzas (mine on a gluten-free base). The gluten-free pizza base was obviously made with potato flour because it tasted like I was eating potato bake with a topping. Hubby's pizza was better, but there's something about the pizzas here - they just don't taste like a traditional Italian pizza. They need more flavour - I don't know what it is. I guess it's so popular because most people just don't know what a traditional Italian pizza should taste like. The restaurant and staff are ve...

We have been to Lido many times and have had pleasant experiences. Service is often quite slow even when there isnt many people at the restaurant. Last Saturday however, my wife an I arrived at 7:10pm to a busy Lido. We ordered by 7:20pm. We left at 8:50pm and NEVER received our food. The staff never managed our expectations to tell us how long the wait would be. We asked how long our food would be many times and the times given lapsed each time. We were not the only people to leave having spen t nearly two hours with ZERO food. The staff didn't apologise or really seem to care when we left either. It would not have cost them much to give all the delayed diners some garlic bread or just SOMETH...

Lido Italia is just the best. Italian restaurant on the south side of Brisbane. It is a family business, has a family feel about it, but it also has a classy feel about it -food is just the best that you will taste - Just delicious! The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a new air conditioned area with large indoor tables if required, so you can bring the whole family - but if a two-some is your gig, then the staff will gladly provide an intimate corner table for 2.The test is "would I came again" . . . . And the answer is . . . . Over and over again!Try Lido Italia at least once and form your own opinion, I would be surprised if you didn't like it! Reserva una mesa ahora

We had a wonderful meal at this family run restaurant with a friend on Friday night. We shared a delicious starter of seared prawns and polenta, tagliatelle al pesto (with chicken & sun dried tomatoes), Mountjoy pizza and Contadina salad followed by one of the pastries from the cabinet with a scoop of gelato for dessert. The food was delicious and the bill came to $97 for the 3 of us including corkage, which we thought was very good value. It's very popular here so you need to book a table if you come on a Friday and Saturday night, and be prepared to wait for your meals.

Had bucatini amatriciana and seafood fettuccine, well cooked, tasty and good portion size. We made sure we left space for dessert: pizza dolce with Nutella and fresh fruit. Lovely evening, we sat outside rather then in the big aircon area. Waiter was friendly and service was quick. We'll be back to try their pizza soon

Dining out with 2 friends and all 3 of us loved the dishes we chose. The service was great and the casual fun ambience all contributed to a great night out. Highly recommend the Tagliatelle Ai gamberi - beautiful fresh Australian prawn pasta. We will definitely choose to dine here again.

Amazing food rubbish services. Seriously what a great food but let down by only one person working front of room. Lots of sorbet and ice creams which were amazing. Outside seating lovely spot but had to sit inside and was like we were forgotten about. Reserva una mesa ahora

Why doesn't the restaurant serve wine? That's pretty much all the night was missing. We ended up going across the road and buying a bottle
