Unbelievable macaroons from here. I don't know why the store was empty when we went! The lady who worked there was really nice and I let myself try with my partner a macaron each (of our choice) for free. I had a good conversation with her about where we come from, the different languages spoken, etc. We have had nice gift boxes of macaroons for the family again, you choose the flavors then a selection for ourselves. Liebaux is a tiny pastry store on the corner of busy Avenue de Friedland (off the Arc de Triomphe roundabout). It was, by far, the best macarons I tasted in Paris. Pierre Herme's macarons pale in comparison to them (trust me, I had my fair share of both during my trip). In addition to macarons, you'll find a varied assortment of pastries and chocolates. I had a lime pie and a chocolate pastry that were wicked good! If you're thinking of bringing a gift back home, this is the place to go. Macarons will always trump fridge magnets, right? Tip: visit the store earlier in the day as you'll find more options.
Found this bakery on the off chance on the way to the Eiffel Tower and I’m so pleased we did! The macaroons are amazing and I’ll be going back for the third time tomorrow. I’ve tried both Pierre Herme and Laduree and I was so let down with them after trying Liebaux. I will be highly recommending this bakery to anybody that comes to Paris! The other baked goods also look amazing however I get too excited for the macaroons every time. Another plus the man speaks English and is friendly :
We were looking for a sweet bite to have, walked in by accident and were greeted by mister Liebux himself. The pastries and chocolate looked all sooo good!! We had the Eclair, St Honore, hazelnut pastry and macaroons. It was a heavenly treat!!! Smooth, light, absolutely unique. I want to go back.

Just passed by by chance and tried our favourite apple tarte tatin. It was just heaven on earth! Also the macaroons were amazing fluffy, light and very tasteful! We will have to come back tomorow to try out more of the patisseries offered.

Fantastic chocolates! I got them on my trip last week and was blown over with the collection of chocolates and Liebaux is better than La Maison du Chocolat
