Great price ,great location, classic building which is a real pub not a restaurant masquerading as a pub. It has locals and characters. Cheaper than most B and Bs .Short walk to The Fulford Arms music venue. Friendly staff Megs, Dan and Heidi thank you so much. Met Jake from the False Heads and Sam from Huntergatherer here who I went to see play at the Fulford Arms. New friends James , Joe and Luke. Great stay. Support your local Pub people.You get what you pay for and this place is good value.
This place appears to be a large pub, though seating is somewhat limited. It has a lovely ambiance, featuring separate areas for the pool, dining, and the main pub. The beer garden is particularly attractive, complete with heat lamps and large sun umbrellas. It feels like a little hidden gem! Among the nearby pubs, this is the only one I would definitely return to. I can't speak to the accommodations, but the pub experience was enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
I had a wonderful stay at this charming pub-style accommodation (rooms located above the pub). The place is full of character, with lovely and cozy rooms available at a reasonable price. There's free parking in the back, and it's pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for me. The owner was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to assist me with a booking issue that I had caused, and I truly have no complaints. They also serve some fantastic cask ales on tap.
I stayed here with my dog for four nights, and I was truly made to feel welcome by Christine and the rest of the staff. The location is fantastic, just a short 5 to 10-minute walk to the city center and right by the River Ouse. The rooms had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. 2 nights to stay in york, I thought I would try to recommend a pub all over the street. looks like and normal pub, good beer, nice staff. the jewel in this pub is the chef. Italian eating, absolutely amazing. I was so impressed that I went back in my second night. that's a must. I'm not impressed.
My friend and I had a wonderful meal, and the chef who prepared our food was incredibly polite and friendly. I highly recommend making a reservation. The food was top quality!
