First of all, this restaurant DOES NOT have a bar. They have a wine list, but you are able to bring your own liquor (hard liquor, beer, and/or wine). A truly wonderful meal and experience at Limani, and as you can see from our review history, we have been to scores of restaurants over the past 20 years for a comparison base. This was our first time here (this restaurant came onto our radar as it had good reviews and met the key criteria of being halfway between the Jersey Shore and our friends from North Jersey). Absolutely average food and service. Prices high simply because of location (Rockefeller plaza) where they'll get tourists anyway. Nothing stellar about the ambience. Servers felt like they're doing you a favor and just interested in rushing you. Had to ask them for bread, didn't bother to explain the specials etc. Food was beyond disappointing. Both the saganaki and the fish (and accompanying sides) were overcooked and oily. I've had great Greek food in Greece but also in smaller NYC restaurants. Definitely Avoid. The best seafood in New Jersey. We travel an hour to this place and it is always worth the trip. Every dish we have had was cooked perfectly. The service is great as well. Food and service here are always the best around. They pay attention to the details. The food tends to the sweeter side of the palate; not overwhelming but worth noting.
