"The burger was amazing. The fries were to die for. The service was impeccable. On the other hand they clearly don't know how to cook lobster though. Expensive but worth the experience(don't get the lobster pasta)."

Went there with my spouse last week and boy were we in for a ride! We tried various dishes: trout tartare (probably the best tartare I ever had , crisp and tasty veal sweetbreads, escargots, an original poutine, a lobster Mac N' Cheese (oh boy... and the most tender T-Bone steak. Everything was on point, including the service, and the wine selection was highly varied. Restaurant l'Impérial is definitely a place to stop!

Change of ownership in 2020, then Covid. Result is very disappointing, from start to finish. The only thing that has not changed is the elegant decor but give them time and they will ruin that too. Food and service are no longer up to par and neither is the service. Regardless of the price you charge, if your food is not good and your service is bad, nobody will be coming back.
