Fontenoy-la-Joute is a secondhand book village. Nothing like as big as Hay-on-Wye and with many fewer small shops which are mainly open at weekends in summer. Unsurprisingly, there are not many English books for sale but plenty of bande dessinée/cartoon/comic books, e.g. Tintin, Asterix, etc....The restaurant is in the centre of the village (use the address rather than the name; our GPS took us outside the village L'Imprimerie is a relatively new restaurant run by two young chefs serving French food in a modern style. we went out of our way to eat lunch at this wonderful place because of its great reviews and we were not disappointed. it is in an inconspicuous village, but every single thing about the restaurant was excellent. parking was no problem, the decoration of the interior. was very well done, the service was professional and friendly. the toilets were carefully clean and had individual cotton towels (nice touch that was delicious. the entree was marinated raw meat with artichoke, main was mushroom, pure pumpkin and fish ever delicious and in combination, and the dessert was vanilleeis covered with chocolate cake and chestnut paste (we think it was not exactly expert in French cuisine) with chocol...

a small quaint restaurant that is run by a young brave couple. I would rather not reveal the unique concept, I can only say the husband cook, and cooks very well, and the woman makes the service, friendliness and professional with a smile. the restaurant is located. in a village that is known that it was worms that we were told came to search, buy and sell there, but only secondhand books? we had an excellent three-course menu with which amuse bouche thrown, and we enjoyed it, the selection of the accompanying wines is excellent. a surprisingly nice and pleasant evening meal.

we selected this restaurant based on the reviews of the travel advisor when we visited baccarat. we are not disappointed! we chose the surprise menu and were very pleasantly surprised the restaurant was fully booked and some potential customers were turned away. the staff was very helpful and attentive. the food was excellent, the tuned wee the dishes, and the price was excellent. we were also treated with an additional glass wee to an extra cure for free. all in all a great experience. would recommend this restaurant. but make sure they book.
